You have a wide range of options when it comes to window glass, such as the Low-E4® glass, high-performance Low-E4 Sun glass and the high-performance Low-E4 SmartSun™ glass among others. According to experts, the tempered versions of these glass options are usually warranted to be free of manufacturing, material and workmanship defects for 20 years from the window’s original installation date. Apart from that, under normal conditions, it’s also warranted not develop any material changes in appearance due to manufacturing defects or premature glass failure for 20 years from the original installation date. Keep in mind, however, that this limited warranty on glass doesn’t apply to special glazings, art glass, insulated art glass, impact resistance glass or glass that isn’t factory installed by Renewal by Andersen.
Should glass failure occur due to manufacturing, material or workmanship defect, however, Renewal by Andersen is obligated to provide and install the appropriate replacement product or provide a factory-authorized repair to the existing glass. Afterwards, the replacement or repair will be warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period.
The color finish on the Fibrex® components of the window that you install in your home are warranted to be free from manufacturing defects that result in color fade for a period of 10 years from the original installation date. While this warranty covers the frame, sash, window sills and grilles, keep in mind that it doesn’t cover the weatherstripping, accessories and hardware of your replacement windows.
If it does have a defect that’s covered by this limited warranty within the limited warranty period, Renewal by Andersen will either refinish the product or repair or replace it entirely.
If you opt to install Renewal by Andersen windows for your window replacement project, it’ll receive a warranty period of two years from the window’s date of installation. Should the window fail due to improper original installation, the company will bring the workmanship up to its professional standards at no cost to you so long as the labor or service is performed by the original authorized installer.
While it may sound hard to believe, but the non-glass components of your window such as the non-electric operators, locks, lifts, balance systems, hinges, handles, insect screen, weatherstripping, sash and frame members are also covered by Renewal by Andersen’s window warranties. In fact, these components are warranted to be free of defects in manufacturing, materials and workmanship for a period of 10 years from the original installation date.
Like before, should these components fail due to manufacturing, materials and workmanship defects, Renewal by Andersen is obligated to either provide and install the appropriate installation parts or provide a factory-authorized repair to your casement windows or any Renewal by Andersen window product that you have. Again, the replacement or repair is warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period.
Finally, the Fibrex components of your windows are also warranted to not flake, rust, blister, peel, crack, pit or corrode, and be free of manufacturing, materials and workmanship defects for a 20 year period from the original installation date. In the event that it fails due to any defect, Renewal by Andersen will provide and install the needed replacement or repair the existing product, with any repairs or replacements being warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period.
